Ivywild Kitchen Delivers Amazing Burgers and Sides at Ivywild School

Ivywild Kitchen is one of seven food venues available in the Ivywild School.  The Iveywild School serves great pub food to accompany your drinks from the Bristol Brewing Pub located just down the hall of this revived elementary school.  The menu offers a nice collection of shareables, chicken sandwiches, and burgers.  We looked at all the eatery options and this was the one that called to us during our first visit to Iveywood School.

We ordered the Bacon and Blue burger as our main item.  This burger was the perfect size burger and full of flavor.  The blue cheese was subtle and added to the burger but allowed the caramelized onion and house sauce to shine.  I was nicely surprised at the flavor combinations when eating the burger.  The burger is served on a potato bun which held up to the burger well and tasted great. We shared our burger so that we could try some other menu items, so they were nice enough to cut it in half for us.  This was a really good burger.

With our burger, we got a basket of onion rings.  You can either get them as a side for $4.99 or you can get a full basket for $9.99.  These hand-battered onion rings have a light and crispy coating that is seasoned well, this is the first time I have not sprinkled my onion rings with salt after the first bite in a very long time.  The onion rings came with your choice of two dipping sauces.  We tried the house sauce which was excellent and we used all of it, and a ranch as a safe backup that we really did not use.

Whenever I visit a brewery I am hoping that there is a soft pretzel available.  Ivywild Kitchen provides a soft pretzel on its menu.  They claim that it is a Philly Style pretzel, but I am not sure what that means.  Their pretzel has a firm and chewy texture to it.  The salt on the pretzel is not a typical pretzel salt and is not very visible at first, but when you bite into the pretzel you definitely pick up the flavor of the salt on your tongue.  The pretzel is served with a hot beer cheese dip and spicy mustard.  Our favorite was the beer cheese dip this time.

The staff running the register was super friendly and fun.  When you order you provide them a phone number to text and they text you when the food is ready.  You can go and find a seat at the brewery, outside or one of the other locations in the school with tables.

Ivywood Kitchen is great for burgers or some snacks to eat with your drinks.  It is just one of the many eateries at Ivywood School and will set you up.
