M&O Station Grill - Classic Burgers Done Diner Style - Fort Worth, TX

Known in Fort Worth on many a burger list M&O Station Grill serves up a delicious classic burger done right. Located in the Foundy District M&O is a great place to eat a burger before visiting the distillery or wine bar in this up-and-coming neighborhood.  M&O is a casual dining restaurant that feels a bit like an old-fashioned dinner.  Their burgers are made from grass-fed Angus sirloin.  You can get it in the classic style or as a keto meal as well.

With 12 different burger options, you can find a burger to fit your mood.  I wanted to try the M&O Original to get a baseline established and understand the flavor that their specially marinated beef brings out.  It was a classic burger with melted cheddar and their house dressing. The bun was warmed and was the perfect size for the patty.

My wife got the Mushroom & Swiss Burger which looked very good.  It had gilled mushrooms and stringy melted swiss cheese on top.  This is another classic style burger that they do very well.

We shared sweet potato fries which were good and I liked their spicy ketchup which has hints of smoky chipotle chiles in it.

You order at the counter when you first walk in and are given a buzzer to let you know when your order is ready for pickup.  Everything is prepared fresh when you order it, no cheating here. The prep time was reasonable and we were enjoying our lunch after a quick visit to our table.

Connected to the restaurant is the Leonard's Department Store Museum.  This free attraction tells the interesting history behind one of Fort Worth's old-time department stores.  The store offered over 128 different departments and even had its own privately owned subway.  The collection of items from the store is interesting, but I really liked the pictures and descriptions of the store.  This is just an extra bonus that you can hit after your burger.
