View from the Wing Tip - Las Vegas

 Flying out of Las Vegas McClaren Airport can provide you with some pretty unique views of the strip.  When selecting your seat you are going to want to get a seat on the right side of the airplane to be able to get the best views.  Be sure to be ready because as soon as the plane starts to rotate you will have just a little bit of time where you can see the strip.  I always enjoy this takeoff and shoot away.


This first shot shows the strip from Mandalay Bay all the way down to the Stratosphere tower.  You can see the full length shortly after you are off the ground.
 

This second shot gives you a look down the strip, with just a little bit of the airfield still in the picture.

While I am not a Raiders fan in any sense, I captured this shot to show off the new Raiders stadium located just west of the strip.

I would have never guessed that Arkansas might be the first state that I would have visited all the National Park Sites in.  I only have one left to go.  I always made fun of Arkansas until I actually visited it. Visiting Bethesda Maryland

I have come to Bethesda Maryland a number of times for work and always look forward to returning.  Located north of Washington D.C., I find that it is easy to get to the National Mall and other Washington D.C. attractions, without being in the hustle and bustle.  Bethesda is the home of Walter Reed Medical Center and the National Institutes of Health.  It has a vibrant downtown area with lots of interesting food options. Getting around in Bethesda is easy by car and is close enough to places to stay that you can either walk or take uber.  The Metro goes right through the area as well so it is possible to catch the metro back to Regan National Airport or down to go and see the monuments and museums. California Cheese Trail

 While visiting the Cowgirl Creamery Barn Store in Point Reyes Station, I learned bout the California Cheese Trail from a brochure.  I love the idea of any type of food or beverage trail, so I grabbed the brochures and started looking at them.  I was surprised to learn how many different creameries there were in the state of California.  I enjoy visiting cheese factories and buying cheese directly from the factory where you find many different varieties of cheese that you will not find in stores because they are done in small batches.  We were only able to visit one of the creameries while we were on our trip.  We could have done a lot more if we had known about the cheese trail ahead of time.
