Dallas - Gourmet Burgers Food Trail

 When you are in a town known for great steaks, it is not a surprise that you can also find a great burger.  You can find everything here from a simple classic fast-food burger to the fanciest gourmet burgers you could imagine with all types of amazing toppings and flavor profiles.  This post will explore some of the great burger spots, attempting our best to rank order them for your enjoyment.  Follow the links to the individual posts about each location and learn more about their burgers and our experience.

The Rodeo Goat has always been held in high esteem in the DFW area for having great burgers, but with 5 locations around the metroplex, it is even easier to get one of these delicious gems.  There are 18 gourmet burgers on their menu, each one of them sounding amazing and flavorful.

This was one of the first burger places we went to when we came to DFW.  Gourmet burgers are what they are all about with 12 well designed burger options to choose from on the menu.  Over time I have tried the Napa Burger which highlights the gorgonzola cheese topping the burger.  I have also had their Jackie O which features lamb and feta cheese.  Liberty burger also offers the option to get a bison patty or an Impossible Burger Patty if you are inclined to change up the meat.

I would have never guessed that Arkansas might be the first state that I would have visited all the National Park Sites in.  I only have one left to go.  I always made fun of Arkansas until I actually visited it. Visiting Bethesda Maryland

I have come to Bethesda Maryland a number of times for work and always look forward to returning.  Located north of Washington D.C., I find that it is easy to get to the National Mall and other Washington D.C. attractions, without being in the hustle and bustle.  Bethesda is the home of Walter Reed Medical Center and the National Institutes of Health.  It has a vibrant downtown area with lots of interesting food options. Getting around in Bethesda is easy by car and is close enough to places to stay that you can either walk or take uber.  The Metro goes right through the area as well so it is possible to catch the metro back to Regan National Airport or down to go and see the monuments and museums. California Cheese Trail

 While visiting the Cowgirl Creamery Barn Store in Point Reyes Station, I learned bout the California Cheese Trail from a brochure.  I love the idea of any type of food or beverage trail, so I grabbed the brochures and started looking at them.  I was surprised to learn how many different creameries there were in the state of California.  I enjoy visiting cheese factories and buying cheese directly from the factory where you find many different varieties of cheese that you will not find in stores because they are done in small batches.  We were only able to visit one of the creameries while we were on our trip.  We could have done a lot more if we had known about the cheese trail ahead of time.
